Corrió mucho agua bajo el puente. Fui y vine de Argetina en
misión enfermera/psicóloga/madre de mi propia madre que se accidentó, se
fracturó la rótula y tuvo complicaciones debido a la famosa impericia médica.
Ya está mejor, pero que la pasamos feo, la pasamos feo. Ella sufriendo y yo
sufriendo viéndola sufrir.
Antes de eso, venía trabajando en una serie de cosas no
estrictamente bestiales: botánica, textura, sinécdoque (la parte por el todo). Pensé
en juntarlas y abrir una segunda tienda, para ser archivísticamente correcta.
Después pensé que mejor no ser correcta, que todo está imbuido de mi espíritu
igual. Y ahora tenemos una buena mezcla de cosas relacionadas sin relación.
Este es un año atípico (me pregunto qué sería un año típico
para mí…). Sweet Bestiary es parte de eso, con su nueva colección atípica.
Plenty of water has passed under the bridge. I went to
and from Argentina on a mission as a nurse/psychologist/mother of my own mother,
who had an accident, broke her kneecap and suffered complications due to fabled
medical carelessness. She’s better now but have a rough time, we certainly did.

Until then, I had been working on a series of things not
entirely bestial: Botany, texture, synecdoche (a part for the whole). I thought
of bringing them together and opening a new shop, to be archivally correct. Then
I thought better not to be correct, that it’s all imbued with my spirit anyway.
And now we have a good mix of unrelated, related things.
This is an atypical year (I wonder what a typical year
would be like for me…). Sweet Bestiary is part of that, with its new atypical
collection.
