Close encounter with real life

Al principio me pareció que eran boyas de algun barco, flotando acá y allá en el Golfo de Trieste, hasta que me acerqué. Estaban vivas! Estas increíbles medusas gigantes (median como 40cm) eran verdaderas criaturas de otro mundo moviéndose con parsimonia en el agua turquesa.
La pasé muy bien, con muchas aventuras, algunas desventuras, y sin contacto alguno con la compu. Lleno de vida real: mar, olivos, viñedos, ciudades antiguas, sol-todos-los-días. Como siempre en Italia la comida fue de lo mejorcito y también alimenté mi alma con la última película de Nanni Moretti y el ultimo libro de Stefano Benni. Bingo!


They first looked like buoys to me, floating here and there in the Gulf of Trieste, until I got closer. They were alive! These amazing giant jellyfish (they measured about 40cm long) were authentic creatures of another world, moving with parsimony in the turquoise water.
I had a wonderful time, lot of adventures, some accidents, and no contact to the computer at all. Full of real life: sea, olive trees, vineyards, ancient towns, sunshine-every-day. As always in Italy I had the best food ever, and I also fed my soul with the last film by Nanni Moretti and the last book by Stefano Benni. Bingo!

Ahora, de vuelta al trabajo! La tienda está abierta otra vez y hay buenas noticias: envío gratis de broches a todo el mundo hasta fin de mes...! Y un nuevo personaje (orejudo) está a punto de ver la luz, estén atentos!

Now, back to work! The shop is open again and there is some great news: free worldwide shipping on brooches until the end of this month...! And a new (eared) character is about to see the light od day, watch this space!

Vacation mode

(Y un millón de años después...) Por si acaso alguien se estuvo preguntando por mi ausencia bloguera, lo que sigue explica bastante:

(And a million years later...) Just in case anyone was wondering about my blogger absence, what follows pretty much explains it:

Estamos teniendo un verano adelantado en Londres (la recompensa después de tanto sufrimiento?) y yo no puedo más que sacudirme la inercia invernal  y salir a caminar o nadar o volverme experta en sacar yuyos o andar en bici con ganas de gritar. Durante esas expediciones se me ocurren mil cosas que contarles, pero para cuando llego a la compu ya estoy harta de mi propia voz retumbándome en la cabeza, y desisto. Entonces esas historias van a parar a la lista de “post no escritos” (después de todo, ya tengo una de “fotos no sacadas”).

Me estoy yendo al mar por unos días, así que este estado de semi-desaparición se va a prolongar un poco más. Tienda online: en modo vacaciones. Proyectos nuevos recién empezados: a la espera de mi regreso con todas las pilas. Y a mis adorados lectores: Au revoir!

We are having an early summer in London (a reward after so much suffering?) and I can’t but shake off  the winter inertia and go out for a walk or swim or become an expert at removing weeds or go cyclying and fell likr shouting . During these expeditions I come up with thousands of things to tell you about, but when the time comes to sit in front of the computer, I’m sick of my own voice within my head and desist. Then those stories end up in the list of “unwritten posts” (after all, I already have one for “non taken pictures”).

I’m going to the sea for a few  days, so this semi-disappeared status will last a bit longer. Online shop: in vacation mode. New projects just started: waiting for me to be back full of energy. To my beloved readers: Au revoir!
